Combination Skin

Combination skin is the most common skin type and is characterised by both dry and oily areas; usually the forehead, nose and chin (the T-zone) are oily, and the cheeks are dry. Combination skin is prone to spots, blackheads and whiteheads in the oily T-zone, and may also have dry flaky patches on the cheeks.  Hormonal fluctuations can also cause breakouts.

Always remove makeup before you go to sleep.  This allows skin to breathe and repair overnight.
Use a gentle cleanser morning and evening to remove impurities without stripping the skin’s acid mantle.
Follow with a non-astringent toner and then a moisturiser that is designed to balance the skin and reduce shine.
Exfoliate once a week using a clay mask on the oily areas and apply a nourishing mask on the dry areas. Use topical spot treatments on breakouts and blemishes as required.
